How to be a motion designer.
February 9, 2009For everyone coming up right now, wanting to know what to do to get into the industry I highly recommend you watch this lecture from Nick Campbell of Digital Kitchen. Nick might not be the greatest communicator, but what he says I agree with 100%. These are almost exactly the same steps I followed, and if you have any talent at all, it will usually get you where you want to go. All of this is completely applicable not only to motion design, but print, film, photography, pretty much any visual media out there…

Derrick HensleeI couldn’t finish the lecture due, in part, to the massive amounts of absorbed sweat under his pits…especially when he would flail his arms around like a Norwegian windmill….really emphasized his lack of antiperspirant. Other than that…it was a good lecture.
